1

Accepting these terms

By installing or using the extension, or by using this website, you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not install or use the extension.

2

What the extension is

Muse AI Sidebar & Side Panel is a free Chrome extension. It opens Muse (muse.ai) in the Chrome side panel and adds its own tools around it: Auto Approve, crop-to-Muse screenshots, right-click actions and keyboard shortcuts. It has no servers of its own.

3

Not affiliated with Meta

This extension is independent. It is not made, endorsed, sponsored or supported by Meta Platforms, Inc. Muse and Meta are trademarks of Meta Platforms, Inc. They are used here only to describe compatibility with your own Muse account.

4

Your license to use it

The developer grants you a free, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable license to install and use the extension in Chrome for your own use. You may not sell, resell, rent or sublicense it, or present it as your own.

5

Your Muse account and third-party services

The extension does not provide Muse itself. You need your own Muse account, and your use of Muse is covered by Meta’s terms and privacy policy, including any limits, features and pricing Muse applies. The extension also depends on Google Chrome and on Chrome sync if you use it. We do not control these services, and they may change or stop working at any time, which can affect how the extension works.

6

Auto Approve is your responsibility

Auto Approve is off by default. When you turn it on, it clicks buttons on Muse’s task cards for you, using only the rules and Allow, Ask or Deny settings that you choose.

Please set it up carefully.

Actions that Auto Approve accepts are treated as actions you took yourself. You are responsible for your rules and settings, for what Muse does as a result, and for checking the Activity list. Use Ask or Deny for anything that could be hard to undo, such as sending messages, spending money, deleting data or sharing private information. You can pause or switch off Auto Approve at any time.

7

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use the extension to break the law or anyone’s rights;
  • use it to break the terms of Muse, Meta, Google or any website you visit;
  • use it to attack, overload, scrape or get around the security of any service;
  • copy, modify, reverse engineer or redistribute the extension, except where the law allows it;
  • remove or hide notices about ownership, or imply that the extension is made by or connected to Meta.
8

Privacy

How the extension handles data is explained in the Privacy Policy. In short, there are no servers, no analytics and no tracking, and what the extension saves stays in your Chrome storage.

9

Ownership and trademarks

The extension, its code, design, text and logo belong to the developer, except for third-party parts that belong to their owners. Muse, Meta, Google, Chrome and other names and logos belong to their respective owners. Nothing in these terms gives you any rights to those names or logos.

10

Updates and changes to the extension

The extension may update automatically through the Chrome Web Store. Features may be added, changed or removed, and the extension may be paused or discontinued at any time, for example if Muse or Chrome change in a way that stops it working. Support is provided on a best-effort basis.

11

No warranty

The extension is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. This includes any warranty of fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, reliability or uninterrupted use. We do not promise that the extension will always work, be free of errors, or keep working with Muse. Answers and actions from Muse come from Muse, not from this extension, and you should check anything important yourself.

12

Limit of liability

As far as the law allows, the developer is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for any loss of data, profit or opportunity, that comes from your use of, or inability to use, the extension. This includes anything done by Muse, or approved by Auto Approve under your settings. Because the extension is free, the developer’s total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for it, which is zero. Nothing in these terms limits any right or liability that cannot be limited by law.

13

Ending your use

You can stop at any time by uninstalling the extension, which removes the data it stored in Chrome. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms or if we need to stop offering the extension.

14

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws that apply where the developer is based, without regard to conflict of law rules. If a part of these terms cannot be enforced, the rest still applies.

15

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, this page and the effective date will be updated. If you keep using the extension after a change, you accept the updated terms.
